Viceroys Tri Club fastest at Windsor Triathlon 2015

11th November 2015

… but who will take the title in 2016?

Members from over 50 clubs were on the start line for the iconic Windsor Triathlon in 2015, but it was Viceroys Tri Club from Surrey that set the fastest average time. Their time of 2:38:22 on the Olympic distance was enough to claim the top spot and all important bragging rights. Clubs can now sign up to compete in the 2016 Windsor Triathlon on Sunday 12 June, with discounts available when registering multiple entrants.

It’s the first time averages and rankings for the top 13 clubs have been announced*, revealing some impressive performances on the prestigious Windsor course. The results show that fastest club Viceroy were closely followed by Ful-On Tri with the battle for third place tight between B2P Tri Club and Clapham Chasers.

*These stats are based on the Olympic Distance in 2015 only, and include clubs which signed up 10 members or more.

Club members are challenged to push their own team into a top ten spot or even challenge for a prestigious top 3 place in next year’s event. Viceroy have arguably the biggest challenge as they try to defend their position at the top, although local team Evolution Tri Windsor will be keen to crack the top 10.

The 2015 Windsor Triathlon was a sell-out with demand for entries expected to exceed availability again in 2016. Triathlon clubs are encouraged to enter together for discounts on multiple entries and to include The Windsor Triathlon as part of their club championships. Additional changes and developments to the course will be announced soon ahead of the event on Sunday 12th June.

Entries are still available for the 26th edition of the Windsor Triathlon. Club members should visit humanrace.co.uk/group-entries for details on club entry and discounts. Full event details are available at https://humanrace.co.uk/triathlon
