Last chance to take on nature at WildMan
9th November 2015
WildMan at Ash Vale in Surrey on Saturday 21 November kicks off the 2015/16 Human Race Off-Road Series, and there is not long left to secure your place on the start line!
Registrations into the trail run and duathlon event that reached full capacity in 2014, must close on Tuesday 17 November at 9am. Those heroic enough to enter the entire series, which also includes IceMan (5 December) and MudMan (5 March), have until the same time to book. Series entrants will receive a hefty multi-event discount and be featured on the Off-Road Series leaderboard. Prizes will be given out for the winners on the day, with an overall series trophy up for grabs too.
Don’t be deceived by WildMan’s beautiful countryside surroundings, this is a grueling undulating course that does not relent. Trail runners can choose from 10k or 15k options, with a duathlon (10k run, 18k bike, 5k run) also available. The courses contain no gimmicks, so it really is just ‘You Vs Nature’, a battle sure to test both the body and mind, but always remaining tremendous fun.
So far duathlon is the most popular of the three options at the event, with 40% of those signing up so far choosing the multi-sport challenge. 35% have selected the more testing 15k trail run, with the remaining 25% taking on a 10k. The 2014/15 series saw Callum Hughes and Fay Cripps crowned champions in the duathlon, with Hazel Blythe and Ben Meakin taking the trail running honors.
A limited number of entries into the Human Race Off-Road Series remain, visit www.humanrace.co.uk/off-road to secure a place before the deadline of Tuesday 17 November at 9am.
