15th June 2016
Popular sportive takes place on Sunday 26 June
Riders have until 10am on Tuesday 21st June to secure their place in this year’s Telegraph London Cycle Sportive powered by Maserati. Its three routes of 48, 104 and 166 kilometres have received rave reviews in previous years, with the much loved timed lap of the Herne Hill Velodrome returning as the finale. The event takes place on Sunday 26 June, starting from the picturesque Dulwich Park.
The spectacular beauty of the Surrey Hills is part of the appeal to cyclists, along with the carefully crafted and executed routes. Many of the stunning hills throughout the route provide incredible views of the surrounding countryside and peaceful encompassing meadows.
Access Sport and the Herne Hill Velodrome Trust will once again be title charity partners of the event. All riders will be offered the option of raising money for one of these great causes when registering their details. The event is being filmed for television, with highlights of the ride being shown on BIKE the following week.
Nick Rusling, CEO of Human Race Events, said “Stunning riding, a historic finish and thousands of riders supporting each other to the end, what’s not to like about The Telegraph London Cycle Sportive powered by Maserati? This is a perfect Sunday ride, with plenty of character and distances on offer for all fitness levels.”
Places are available on a first come, first served basis through www.humanrace.co.uk/cycling. The event is part of the 2016 Human Race Sportive Series presented by BIKE which also includes esteemed events such as ICAP L’Etape London by Le Tour de France.
