Human Race extend Junior Triathlon events for 2016

17th March 2016

Human Race Events has extended their junior triathlon events for 2016, offering keen young athletes more opportunities to compete, and hoping to encourage more 8-18 year olds to try the sport.

Four events will welcome kids and teens, all taking place in the safe and professional surroundings of Dorney Lake, and giving young people the opportunity to experience a fantastically well organised triathlon at one of the UK’s most loved venues. Dorney Lake’s clean and calm waters and closed road cycle route make it a perfect venue whether you’re new to triathlon or keen to improve on a previous performance.

Nick Rusling, CEO of Human Race Events and chairman of the Triathlon Industry Association said, “Human Race is committed to finding the next generation of triathletes and having such a wide selection of events available will help more people have access to a youth triathlon in 2016. One of the most common questions I get asked is why we don’t have more youth triathlons, so hopefully this expansion will help get many more involved in a sport that is rapidly growing in popularity.”

The series consists of four events including the esteemed SuperTri on 13th August, which sold out in record time in 2015. SuperTri is exclusively for youth competitors with only juniors aged 8 to 18 allowed to participate. The popular event is currently available at an early bird rate for a limited time only.
