Human Race partners with Optimum Nutrition to help endurance athletes reach their performance goals

22nd November 2017

Globally recognised sports nutrition brand, Optimum Nutrition, is broadening its sponsorship properties in 2018 through a partnership with the UK’s leading mass participation events company, Human Race. The partnership aims to communicate the benefits of protein consumption to endurance athletes for training and performance, as the Official Sports Nutrition Partner of Human Race for its 2018 events calendar.

The partnership is aptly announced following a recent survey stating the growing awareness of the benefits of protein for endurance athletes, with 38% of runners regularly taking protein supplements*.

Optimum Nutrition will engage with over 100,000 runners, cyclists, and triathletes through the Human Race’s 30+ events to showcase how its GOLD STANDARD™ products can help your body prepare, compete, and recover so that you can consistently perform at your highest level.  This will include the renowned Cancer Research UK London Winter Run, historic Royal Windsor Triathlon and gruelling Dragon Ride L’Etape Wales by Le Tour de France.

Optimum Nutrition will provide the brand’s award winning GOLD STANDARD™ range of products to help participants in their training and performance at events including the world’s best-selling whey protein powder, GOLD STANDARD 100% Whey™, to support muscle repair and GOLD STANDARD BCAA Train + Sustain™ to help keep participants going through to the finish line.

Optimum Nutrition’s Head of Brand, Benoit Batard said: “At Optimum Nutrition we believe that if your body’s not ready then neither are you. All the high-tech gear you can buy cannot get you race ready – the body is the most important bit of tech to get right to stay strong right to the finish line. Optimum Nutrition GOLD STANDARD™ products can help you to consistently perform at your best. We look forward to partnering with Human Race for 2018 to support a wealth of endurance athletes in their performances.”

Nick Rusling, CEO of Human Race said: “Human Race provides a well-respected platform to sports nutrition brands to reach a passionate and engaged audience of endurance athletes. We are extremely excited to work with Optimum Nutrition, and together we hope to further enlighten our audience on the benefits of protein to enhance all our participants event experience.”
