Become a friend of the Herne Hill Velodrome

The Herne Hill Velodrome is the home – both physically and spiritually – of the Telegraph London Cycle Sportive powered by Maserati. We’re incredibly proud that the historic venue will once again be providing the event finale with a timed lap of the track and then the post-ride festivities. The Herne Hill Velodrome Trust is an official charity of the Telegraph London Cycle Sportive, with entrants raising lots of money for the work the Trust does in preserving 125 years of history at the track and making sure Herne Hill continues to play a central role in the future of British Cycling.

The Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome is the support group for the legendary South East London Venue and they’ve helped turn things around down there; it nearly closed just a few years back and now it’s thriving. They raise money for the Herne Hill Velodrome Trust, the charity formed to secure the Track’s future, they keep that charity in touch with all the different groups that use the place and they bring all those groups together to provide a dedicated volunteer force. This year is Herne Hill Velodrome’s 125th anniversary and work is about to commence on the new pavilion, which should be finished by the end of the year. Exciting times but to ensure the continued success the Friends needs continued support
