Human Race is owned by the A.S.O. which is a French, family run international sports organisation and owner of Le Tour de France and Dakar Rally among others. The company is also the French mass event specialist with a portfolio including the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris (57,000 runners) and L’Etape du Tour sportive (15,000 cyclists).

Our events bring together an active community of people taking part in sporting events for reasons ranging from fitness, competition, charity, health, fun or to simply finish. The event participants vary from nervous first timers of all ages, through to World Champions; collectively, the events raise millions of pounds for hundreds of charities.

We are looking for a Finance Summer Intern to join a busy team, who are looking to develop their skillsets further and become an integral part of the existing finance function. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for learning new skills.

The Role:
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will assist in accurately recording supplier invoices and overseeing payments across the business. You will be required to build strong working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring suppliers are paid on time, as well as dealing with internal expenses etc. You will also assist in the production of management accounts, provide regular reports and updates and work with colleagues to improve processes across the department, assisting with the continued growth of the business.

Finance Tasks:
Use of SAGE Line 50
Check, post and reconcile supplier invoices
Ensure all filing and administration maintained to a high standard at all times
Deal with purchase enquiries with suppliers
Produce Sales invoices and assist with credit control
Process expense claim forms
Assist with Credit card management and reconciliation
Manage the petty cash
Working with spreadsheets purchases ledgers and journals
Assist on other duties as delegated from time to time

The Candidate:
Currently studying towards a Finance or Accounting related degree
Energetic, enthusiastic, resilient and flexible
Excellent communication both written and verbal
Team Player, attention to detail, numerate and accurate
Good time management and pro-active
A love of sport in general and willingness to learn new skills

This role would very much suit an individual who enjoys a varied role and has the attitude to assist and support the finance department and wider team wherever necessary.

Contract and Salary:
Internship for Summer 2018.
Flexible on length of contract. Ideally July to end of September.
Further opportunities for temp, part time work beyond this.
Flexible on number of hours worked – full time or a minimum of 15 hours per week across 2-3 days.
£55 per day
