WildMan Trail Run

When is the eventDate TBC in 2014 Where is the Event Ash Vale, Surrey

  • The dogs loved it. Red, Sid & Hank all ran beautifully…I would definitely do the race again. In fact, we’re thinking of entering the next one in the series...

    Gail Walker - @GailWalker1
  • It was really good and the conditions were ideal. I just gave it legs from the start and never looked back. The conditions were awesome.

    Dan Falconer
  • It was really good and really hard. There were lots of hills which I am not used to but it was great. It was pretty testing.

    Alice Hector
  • I enjoyed it. The bike course was a blast. But the last run was very tough. I would love to do the IceMan in January.

2014 EVENT DATE TO BE CONFIRMED. TO REGISTER YOUR INTEREST IN THIS EVENT AND TO BE EMAILED AS SOON AS THE EVENT IS LIVE, CLICK HERE.

The first race in the Human Race Off-Road Series is here, and it's WildMan!

The course is set on an army testing ground of Ash Ranges, which is located near to Aldershot, South of J4 of M3 along A331.

The conditions under foot are testing for even the hardiest of athletes, which as anyone who loves winter racing will know, is what makes it so much fun! A quick poll from those that took part last year puts WildMan as the most challenging event in the Off-Road Race Series but with that comes a great atmosphere and an incredible sense of achievement for those that make it through. It’s always a sell out so make sure you get in quick!

Trail Running with added pain!
Whichever trail run you choose will mean hills, mud, sand and then some more hills. You’ll have to save something on the ups to get down the technical downhill bits or your quads will be complaining. Rumour has it there are still some that took part last year losing sleep over the five hills in the middle section!

Take a peek at what’s in store...
If you’re still wondering what WildMan might have in store for you, why not take a look at some of the pictures from last time out. You’ll see mud, hills, bikes, dogs, a bit of water, some tired faces and a surprising amount of smiling going on. Check out the gallery here.

The Human Race Off Road Race Series
WildMan gets the Human Race Off-Road Series off to a brilliant start. All of the races in the series are not for the faint hearted and each event will test your strength, stamina and ability. The emphasis is on taking on the challenge and surviving the course so you can take home lots of great memories in the process!

New Trail Running Series Leaderboard added
The Duathlon Series Leaderboard will be joined by a Trail Running Championship. Points will be awarded for the top fifty finishers in the longer of the two Trail Runs at each event with some great prizes on offer for the overall Series Champions. Each event features differing terrain designed to play to the strengths (and expose the weaknesses) of different types of athlete at every turn. Hillrunners, demon descenders and those that can run quickly over suspect terrain will find themselves well catered for!

Canicross and Running with your Dog
As with the last Series, running with dogs is welcome at the WildMan and all the other events in the Human Race Trail Running Series. There are a growing (and very friendly) contingent of dogs and their owners taking part in the Trail Runs so why not come on down and join in the fun!
