The Kingston Breakfast Run is back for another year with Lidl at its helm. Starting and finishing in the historic Kingston-upon-Thames market square and taking in the river down to Hampton Court, the 16.2 mile route is a perfect marathon training race and the 8.2 mile race is a perfect step up from the traditional 10k distance.

Completing the long runs in marathon training can be a psychological battle, however our Human Race Pacers will once again be on hand to allow you to test your pace over a longer distance, or to help you hit this distance for the first time as part of a marathon training plan. VitaCoco240 Keep hydrated!

Staying hydrated is crucial for achieving peak performance. Vita Coco coconut water promotes rehydration as well as refuelling as it provides carbohydrate as well as fluid.

Before exercise, your main priority is ensuring you are hydrated to have the best chance of putting in your best performance. During exercise, there are no hard and fast rules about how much to drink but, 400-800ml per hour will prevent dehydration and overhydration. After exercise, the sooner you start to replace the fluid the sooner you will recover. So make drinking your priority immediately after exercise.

Click here for more information on how to stay hydrated.
