Human Race Off-Road Series

  • Well organised, good natured event. Kind marshals (1 let me drink his water!) friendly competitors & well marked route.

  • …another great event yesterday! My favorite off road duathlon course! U need a new result category 4 nightclub managers! ;)

  • Human Race Events put on another great event. See you after Christmas for the IceMan!

  • “It’s a hill, get over it”...10/10 for inspiration around the course to put a smile back on your face when you most need it.

  • Runners always get treats so I thought it was a nice touch to give the four legged stars a little something for their efforts.

  • …if you love hills, muddy puddles and excitement in the Great British countryside, then I may have found you the perfect race.

    Sandra Bowers @RUN247com
  • I have to say the rush you get going down the hills was incredble. The organisers of Human Race really set out a challenging 16km course yet it was very enjoyable!

MudMan Duathlon Event Information

Duathlon: 7.5km Run, 15km Bike, 7.5km Run
Relay Duathlon: 7.5km Run, 15km Bike, 7.5km Run

The second race in the Human Race Off-Road Series brings back to the calendar the infamous MudMan event held in the gruelling grounds of the MOD in Camberley.

This race is not for the faint hearted. Though there might seem to be less hills than WildMan (the first race in the series) at first glance, underfoot conditions and the wintry time of year make it a definite challenge in its own right. The MudMan circuit is entirely on the Army military training ground – so it’ll be stony and muddy underfoot in equal measure while the hills will be steep and the competition fierce as always!

The Duathlon
The off-road duathlon will take in the same run course as the trail runners over 7.5km, followed by a bumpy, gritty mountain bike circuit over 15km of rough terrain. Then the course (and possibly your legs) will be finished off with a further 7.5km run. By this time you will be very familiar with the course and the limits that it holds, both for your legs and your lungs!

Take a peek at what’s in store...
If you’re still wondering what MudMan might have in store for you, why not take a look at some of the pictures from last time out. You’ll see mud, hills, bikes, dogs, a bit of water, some tired faces and a surprising amount of smiling going on. Check out the gallery here.

The Human Race Off Road Race Series
MudMan is the second race in the 2014/15 Human Race Off-Road Race Series, now established as the UK’s premier winter multisport series. All of the races in the series are not for the faint hearted and each event will test your strength, stamina and ability. The emphasis is on taking on the challenge and surviving the course so you can take home lots of great memories in the process!

After series openers WildMan and MudMan have helped you see off 2014 in style it’s IceMan up next. Then the series heads over to the fast firetracks of TrailMan.

The Series Leaderboard
In 2012/13 the Duathlon Series Leaderboard led to some pretty stiff competition across the races in both the male and female categories. That doesn’t mean the series is just for the speed demons though, consistency is everything and simply completing the events is something to be proud of.
