The Scootathlon @ Macmillan Cycletta Scotland is a mini fun triathlon for children between the ages of 4 and 8 where they scoot, bike and run. This will take place on the same day as the Macmillan Cycletta event so there will be something fun and entertaining for the kids to try while you take on a Macmillan Cycletta ride.

The race begins with a scoot (any scooter is suitable) then it's into transition, put down the scooter and pick up the bike and cycle lap. Then it's back into transition for the last time, leaving the bike next to the scooter and then out for the final run to the finish gantry.

Boys will race with Girls at the same time and it is compulsory to wear a helmet for all three disciplines (scooting, cycling and running). You must bring your own scooter and bike with you, these will not be provided.

All children taking part will get a medal and parents are asked not to get too excited...

Macmillan - Official Charity of Cycletta eventsMacmillan Cancer Support are here to make sure no one has to face cancer alone. And with your help, no one will. You can make a difference to the lives of people living with cancer by using your Macmillan Cycletta challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, Cycletta’s title sponsor & official charity partner. There is no minimum fundraising pledge, but £50 is a great initial target to aim for and is really achievable. £50 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for two hours, providing vital practical, medical and emotional support to people living with cancer.
