Scootathlon: 550m Scoot, 550m Bike, 250m Run

The Scootathlon is a mini fun triathlon for children between the ages of 4 and 8 where they scoot, bike and run.

Boys will race with Girls at the same time in various age categories.

The race begins with a 550m 1 lap scoot (any scooter is suitable) then it's into transition, put down the scooter and pick up the bike and cycle the 550m lap. Then it's back into transition for the last time, leaving the bike next to the scooter and then out for the final 250m run to the finish gantry.

Scooting, cycling and running will always be in an anti-clockwise direction and all three disciplines must be done wearing a helmet.

All children taking part will get an event T-shirt and medal.

Frog Bikes will be on site at this event to showcase their new range of affordable lightweight kids’ bikes. Their colourful all-aluminium bikes feature components from Tektro and Shimano. The frames and componentry have been developed specifically for the proportions of smaller riders. This makes them both easier to handle and safer to ride.

AGE REQUIREMENT: Age 4 to 8 on Event Day

ENTRY LIST: Due to privacy issues we will not be publishing a full list of the children's names or ages. You will receive a confirmation email from us stating that you are in the event. A full race information pack will be emailed out and will also be on the website.
