Nuffield Health Kingston Run Challenge
9 October 2016 • Kingston-Upon-Thames, Surrey
‘Running the River for 26 Years’ Now in its 27th year, the Nuffield Health Kingston Run Challenge takes over the centre...
Spellbind us with your talents as you walk, jog or run 2km, 5km or 10km round a closed royal park course. You can run either by yourself or with the family or with a group of friends, with fancy dress encouraged. The beautiful venue of Richmond Park provides the perfect setting for a Halloween extravaganza (just don’t get spooked by the deer!), and with prizes for the best costumes and two start times to choose from, you’d be a devil not to enter.
Check out pictures from the 2015 event and more by visiting our Facebook page here.
Our specially trained crew will be on hand at each of the Halloween zones – the crew are all trained in the Dark Arts and have passed their Scare GCSEs with flying colours, ready to weave their web of ghoulishness around you.
For the first time this Halloween runners will be faced with a decision when they reach the finish line – Trick or Treat? Once runners have finished their chosen distance of 2k, 5k or 10k they will have to pick. Go down the Trick finish for a spooky surprise, or to play it safe for a Treat. Which will you choose?
Richmond Park is famous for its stunning views and wandering deer, close to London but seemingly a different world from the bustling capital. There are few more picturesque and pleasant places in the country to run. It is incredibly rare for the park to close for an event of this nature, so we are privileged to have a fully closed road route in a spectacular setting.
As well as their trick or treat everybody who crosses the line will receive a special medal to commemorate the day, which can be transformed into a badge and attached to clothing or bags.
Please note that these are the timings for the 2015 event. Timings for next year’s event will be confirmed nearer the date.
Runners of all abilities are encouraged to take part, with children welcome and special family bundles available to get everybody out and keeping active. Any children under the age of 6 on event day go free, with everybody encouraged to dress up as their favourite character. Four spooky zones will be spread around the course featuring witches, pumpkins, skeletons and zombies.
Please note that only the 10km at this event was timed. There will be no results available for the 2km and 5km events.
These results are Provisional, please contact the Results Crew with any queries. Queries are compiled and will appear in the final update approximately a week after the event.

Richmond park, at almost 2,500 acres, is the largest of the Royal Parks and is home to some of the capital city’s most varied and colourful wildlife including 650 free roaming deer.
Richmond Park is a National Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a European Special Area of Conservation.
Join Team Breast Cancer Care and walk, run or jog with your family past witches, skeletons, pumpkins and zombies and face the devilish decision of whether you want a trick or treat when you reach the finish line. Whatever you choose, it’s sure to be spellbinding from beginning to end. With your support, Breast Cancer Care will be able to provide more care, support, and information whenever it’s needed. From the moment someone notices something isn’t right, through their treatment and beyond.
