About the event

Spellbind us with your talents as you walk, jog or run 2km, 5km or 10km round a closed royal park course. You can run either by yourself or with the family or with a group of friends, with fancy dress encouraged. The beautiful venue of Richmond Park provides the perfect setting for a Halloween extravaganza (just don’t get spooked by the deer!) and with prizes for the best costumes, you’d be a devil not to enter.

Event Benefits

  • Tricks and / or treats for all participants
  • Medals
  • Secure bike or scooter racking within the park
  • Electronic chip timing (10km and 5km only)

Fundraise for Breast Cancer Care and you’ll receive the below treats when you hit certain milestones. Come and see us at the event to claim them!

  • £25 – Headband or Sweatband
  • £50 – Headband and Sweatband
  • £75+ – Technical Running Vest

Halloween Zones

Our specially trained crew will be on hand at each of the Halloween zones – the crew are all trained in the Dark Arts and have passed their Scare GCSEs with flying colours, ready to weave their web of ghoulishness around you.

Trick or Treat Finish

Runners will be faced with a decision when they reach the finish line – Trick or Treat? Once runners have finished their chosen distance of 2k, 5k or 10k they will have to pick. Go down the Trick finish for a spooky surprise, or to play it safe for a Treat. Which will you choose?

Stunning Location

Richmond Park is famous for its stunning views and wandering deer, close to London but seemingly a different world from the bustling capital. There are few more picturesque and pleasant places in the country to run. It is incredibly rare for the park to close for an event of this nature, so we are privileged to have a fully closed road route in a spectacular setting.

Special Medal

As well as their trick or treat everybody who crosses the line will receive a special medal to commemorate the day.

Please note that these are the 2016 event times and are here as a GUIDE only – we cannot guarantee that they will be the same in 2017.

  • 10km: 10:00
  • 5km: 11:30
  • 2km: 11:50

Travel & Accommodation

Richmond Park, at almost 2,500 acres, is the largest of the Royal Parks and is home to some of the capital city’s most varied and colourful wildlife including 650 free roaming deer. It is a National Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a European Special Area of Conservation.

The event village is located at Robin Hood Gate (this car park is out of use for the day). Please note that the only viable car park within Richmond Park for the event participants is the Broomfield Car Park, which you must book in advance. If you have not secured parking within the park, your best option is to park as near as you can and then get a taxi to the event drop-off point. If you can park on a residential road near to Robin Hood Gate, that is another good alternative.

By Car – Parking must be PREBOOKED (NOW SOLD OUT)

To access the event car park you will need to arrive via KINGSTON GATE and travel along Broomfield Hill. Roads between Sheen Gate and Richmond Gate remain open during the event in addition to routes between Richmond Gate and Kingston Gate (including Ham Gate).

The Event Car Park is located near to the start (Broomfield Car Park), approximately a 5min walk to the event village. Parking is £5.00 per vehicle and allocated for a set time only. A parking ticket needs to be purchased in advance via the event website. Tickets will not be issued on the day.

Please note that the event parking has now SOLD OUT. If you have already booked your parking, your pass will be emailed out on the Wednesday preceding the event.

By Train

There are several stations around the park and the nearest train station is Kingston. However this is still a considerable walk away (45mins). Richmond Park is very large so please ensure you allow plenty of time for travel or walking through the park and plan your journey in advance.

By Taxi

A taxi drop off point is located next to the main event car park. If travelling by taxi, please inform your driver to head to ‘Broomfield Car Park’ on Broomfield Hill Road, accessing via Kingston Gate.
