Now in its 27th year, the Nuffield Health Kingston Run Challenge takes over the centre of Kingston and the Thames towpath once again this October. With 3 distances on offer and a fast, flat course, runners can either smash their previous times or simply challenge themselves with a new distance. The event also includes the Nuffield Health Kingston Marathon – the perfect way to put your summer of training to the test! The end of season timing is a great opportunity for a PB and the course is one of the flattest 26.2s you’ll find, with a fantastic route passing stunning sights such as Hampton Court Palace.
Please note that these times are for the 2016 event and are here as a guide only. These are not the confirmed start times for 2017.
Race briefing occurs 5 minutes before each start. Pace groups for both start times will be set off in pulses to help spread runners out on the course.
For health and safety reasons Human Race strongly discourages the use of earphones or any device which may prevent you from hearing important instructions both before and during the event. We reserve the right to ask you to remove them at our discretion.
Get 20% off the Trick or Treat Run! Use code KRC20 when you enter online. There are 2km, 5km and 10km options available and the whole family is welcome. Under 6s go free and you can also get family and group discounts. Click here for more information.
These results are provisional, and any queries should be sent to our Results Crew. These are compiled and any changes are shown in the final results here around a week after the event. If you are looking for results from previous years, please visit the main Human Race Results page.
Market Place, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 1JT
As this event is held in central Kingston, it is easy to arrive by public transport, however, it is a Sunday morning so trains may not be that frequent. The nearest train station is Kingston, only four minutes walk to the start. Please check www.tfl.gov.uk for timetables and route planning.
The race is based in the heart of Kingston Town Centre starting and finishing in the Ancient Market Place. This is a great opportunity to do an early morning run and then meet your partner afterwards for breakfast before embarking on some endurance shopping!
Kingston Hospital Charity raises urgently needed funds to improve the quality of care, services and facilities for patients, their families, carers, staff and visitors of Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Dementia is a condition that affects Kingston Hospital more than most as we serve an area that has one of the highest life expectancies in the country. As a result, nearly half of our patients over 75 have dementia, which is double the national average.
Our ambition is to create a truly dementia-friendly hospital site with secure, safe, homely and comfortable facilities. We want to be the most dementia-friendly acute hospital in the UK with wards and public areas that support independence and are calming, comfortable and familiar.
To re-develop the wards we need to raise £750,000. We are now seeking your help to create a landmark facility at Kingston Hospital that will benefit our community for years to come.
Donate £50 to Kingston Hospital Charity during the entry process or raise £50 on your JustGiving page before event day and get a free running bundle (pictured) including a t-shirt, bottle and bag! You can pick this up on the day of the event.
If you’re looking for a way to make your event count, why not raise money for a cause you care about? Head to JustGiving, make a fundraising page in a few simple steps, and share it far and wide by email and social media.
