Ex British & Irish Lions captain leads cyclists over the Welsh hills
The Wiggle Etape Cymru, the UK’s toughest closed road sportive, returned for its biggest and arguably best edition yet on Sunday 14 September. Over two thousand cyclists convened at Bangor-On-Dee Racecourse at the crack of dawn ahead of a beautiful, but incredibly demanding 85 mile ride.
Rumours have been circulating over recent months of soggy bank notes, tire tracks in branches and out of breath staff at HSBC buildings across the country, as hundreds of employees were gearing up and getting in shape for the HSBC Triathlon and Duathlon, which took place on Sunday 14th February at Eton Dorney Rowing Lake. HSBC Staff members were joined by over 1,000 other triathletes who made the day one of the biggest triathlons of 2014.
The private equity industry was out in full force on Saturday 13 Sept at the inaugural FT Triathlon supporting Impetus-PEF. Human Race developed this new industry triathlon in association with the Financial Times and Impetus-PEF to raise awareness and valuable funds for some of the UK’s most disadvantaged children and young people. Over £75k had already been raised by the start of the first race with all parties confident of hitting the £100k target.
